Messegee Scones

Sift:4 cups flour, 2 Tbl sugar, 4 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt ½ tsp cream of tartar. Cut in 2/3 cup butter until it looks like a crumbly meal. Mix in 1 1/3 cup Half and Half (milk works fine too). Knead a few times just until it is solid. Cut the dough in half, shape into two round pizza like shapes then cut each into 6 triangles. Place on a cookie sheet (they will all fit if you get creative)! Poke a couple times with a fork and brush a little egg white mixed with water on the top. Bake at 425º for 12-15 minutes. Serve warm with butter and Jam or with a great meaty gravy in the winter (Also awesome for breakfast!)
